Teaching Your Children About Dental Hygiene

June 14, 2015

Reports show that American students miss 51 million hours of school every year because of oral health problems. Make sure your kids are brushing their teeth for two minutes, twice a day and visiting a dentist every six months.

Remember that leading by example is often helpful, so be sure your children see you brush your teeth. You can even let them give you some brushing advice! Try using kid-friendly toothpaste and toothbrush products to make brushing more fun.

If your child is having anxiety about going to the dentist, let your dentist know. A dentist can often make the experience much more comfortable for your child.
