Your Dental Resolutions for a Healthy 2019

December 10, 2018

New YearYour resolution for 2019 might be to work out more, eat right, and budget better, but it can be challenging to keep your promise all year long. We recommend setting goals that you can reach without changing your lifestyle too much. Sometimes a simple change can make a big difference!

Here’s Some of Our Top Resolutions for 2019

  1. Smile! Sure, it’s been shown that laughter is a great way to burn a few extra calories, but starting 2019 with a smile is all about having a positive attitude and tackling any challenges that come your way. Spread that good attitude by smiling at others.
  2. Prioritize your health. If you want to achieve all of your goals, you need to first focus on keeping yourself healthy. Get your appointments scheduled for the year and address any pain or problems you have been having. Make sure to set up a dentist appointment, as you should regularly go for a cleaning about every 6 months.
  3. Brush & floss daily. It’s easy to give up on flossing or fall asleep before you have the chance to brush your teeth. Develop a regular schedule so you get in the habit of spending a few minutes in the morning and at night focusing on your oral hygiene.
  4. Quit the habit. Focus on one bad habit that is ruining your teeth. Whether you can’t stop biting your nails or you are a smoker, make this your year to tackle that habit. Many bad habits that affect your teeth also affect your overall health and wellbeing.
